Ecliff Elie Blog: Life by Design Episode #3
So Fusion 5 is done and what a brutal challenge it was! But the Conquerors kept pushing through it all! From the first leg, over Mount St. Benedict onto the second leg, from Maracas St. Joseph to Las Cuevas. We were solid holding a good rhythm and steady pace. After the heavy Saturday showers, we faced the final leg. Around the Queen’s Park Savannah, and with linked arms we crossed the finish line at the Cruise Ship Complex. For a total of 16hrs we were in race mode, conquering the course in 7 ½ hrs.
We say ‘Thank you’ to: Dirk who joined our Team when one of our members got injured before the race, despite all obstacles Dirk truly stayed the course. Shurvon, ‘Skipper’ for your energy and fire. Parris for your focus and determination. ‘Big J’ our coach, our driver, who kept our spirits lifted through the entire race. ‘Berlikis’ caterers who fed us hungry warriors. And most of all, Thank You to the friends of Team Conquerors for your support.

Ecliff Elie Blog: Life by Design Episode #2 FUSION 5
As a designer I’ve learnt a few lessons. As an individual I’ve learnt so much more. And in these lessons I’ve discovered tools that are beyond industry specific, they are relevant to life. Determination and Perseverance, these two tools I’ve learnt, can propel you towards any goal.
This year I decided to challenge myself to use these tools in a way that I’ve never done before. I am leading a Team of four men into Fusion 5. A brutal Adventure Race unlike any other. But then again we are no ordinary Team. We are Team ‘Conquerors’. Parris, Harris, ‘Skipper’ and Elie. Trained by ‘Big J’ to be a Unit with one simple mission. That is, ‘Conquer Fusion 5’! Come out and cheer us on this Saturday, June 4th, 2011, 5:00pm at the Cruise Ship Complex. Bring your family and friends. Friends of ‘Conquerors’ wear WHITE! Ecliff Elie Blog: Life by Design Episode #1
My Start
I began creating and modifying garments for schoolmates, friends and family members as a student at Chaguanas Senior Comprehensive . I learned tailoring at school, but it was often more than just a school activity for me. My family was also a big part of my direction into fashion as a career; stylish clothing, and the process to create it was a “member of my family”.
Necessity was the mother of “my design”. As I exposed myself to various perspectives to fashion, I realized that my personality is important to the way I work and grow. Making my mark was dependent on my ability to manage my personality to stand out.
My journey started with a need but continued through determination, prayer and hard work.
